Psalms 150    “Praise the Lord!  Praise God in the sanctuary; praise God in the mighty firmament!  Praise God for mighty
deeds, according to God’s surpassing greatness!  Praise God with trumpet sound, with the lute and harp!  Praise with the
tambourine and dance, with strings and pipe!  Praise God with clanging cymbals, praise with loud clashing cymbals.  Let
everything that breathes praise the Lord!  Praise the Lord!  NRSV

Ministry

PPMCC’s Praise Team seeks to create an atmosphere for worship, bringing our own spirituality, talents, and time together,
to praise God.

We worship for God’s benefit.  It is the Praise Team’s ministry to focus PPMCC’s attention on coming together as a
corporate body, lifting our hearts to God.   When we are all singing, praising, and worshiping together, the very presence
of Spirit and power of God become evident as we invite Spirit into our music, encouraging the congregation to enter into
God’s presence.

Process

As with any ministry, PPMCC’s Praise Team involves your talent and time, and God’s calling.  Praise & Worship is on
equal footing with the sermon and celebration of communion.  As such, if there is an opening/position in the team, the
process is as follows:

To be aware and comfortable with the mission statement and core values of PPMCC, you need to be a regular
attendee of PPMCC at least six months prior to participation with the Praise Team.

Audition and interview with the team.  Music will be provided so that you may practice prior to the audition, and you
will also be asked to sight-read a piece, as the team accompanies.

If an invitation to join the team is extended, attendance for a minimum of three months at weekly rehearsals, where
you practice alongside the team, is required prior to becoming part of the ministry of the team for Sunday service.

Continued attendance at PPMCC Sunday service and weekly rehearsals is required to participate in the Sunday
service.
