Believing that God has made us each unique, with God given talents, gifts, skills, and abilities (1 Peter 4:10-11)
PPMCC encourages the congregation to participate in the Sunday worship service through various ministries,
including the sharing of music during the offertory portion of the service, as special music.  (Special Music is not
limited to singing or solos – we welcome forms of musical expression, including but not limited to musical
instruments, vocal groups, musical interpretations of songs, etc.)

Process

As with any ministry at PPMCC, sharing special music involves your talent, time, and God’s leading, to
participate in the service.

To be aware and comfortable with the mission statement and core values of PPMCC, and flow of the
service, you need to be a regular attendee of PMMCC at least six months prior to participating in a church
service as special music.

Audition for the music “director” (others may be included in the audition such as worship leader, Pastor,
etc).

Based upon the audition, an invitation may be extended and a date selected for you to share your special
music with the congregation.

Qualifications

Musical ability to participate in a formal church service

If you require an accompanist, contact one of the church accompanists for willingness, availability and
rehearsal schedule – you must provide the accompanist the music you wish played.

If you use an accompaniment trak, notify the sound team member prior to your scheduled  special music
date

Unless otherwise discussed, special music is shared during the offertory portion of both the 9 A.M. and 10:
30 A.M. services

If you are unable to participate in the service you are scheduled, you must contact the music director,
pastor, and accompanist prior to the beginning of the service, so that coverage for the offertory can be
planned.  Repeated inability/rescheduling of special music dates will be addressed in individual situations if
necessary.
