How PPMCC Participates in the Wider MCC

Lay Delegate

The Lay Delegate represents the congregation in the wider life and governance of Metropolitan Community Churches. The delegate shares information about denominational activities with the congregation and helps connect PPMCC with the broader MCC community by networking with MCC churches, both within the regional network and across the denomination. Along with the pastor, the delegate participates in denominational meetings and votes on behalf of the congregation in matters of denominational policy and governance.

Meetings & Representation

PPMCC participates in denominational gatherings, including General Conference, Network Gatherings, and other MCC meetings or consultations. Our delegates help carry the voice of the congregation into those spaces and bring important information back to PPMCC.

MCC General Conference

General Conference is MCC’s worldwide gathering, normally held every three years. The purpose of the gathering is to meet in fellowship with worldwide MCC members while also handling the business of discussion and voting on denominational matters. The most recent General Conference took place in 2025 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Dates and details for the General Conference in 2028 have not yet been announced.

West Central US Network

PPMCC is also a member of a regional network of MCC churches. The West Central US Network is comprised of 10 MCC churches in Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Illinois, and Minnesota. Delegations from member churches participate in regular video calls and annual Network Gatherings hosted by a network member church. MCC networks support building fellowship among regional MCC churches.
