Worship & What to Expect

Learn what to expect during worship, including service times, communion, accessibility, and online participation.

What, When, Where?

PPMCC gathers for worship every Sunday at 10:00 AM at 1102 S. 21st Street in Colorado Springs. You may also join the livestream on Facebook or YouTube, where online participants can take part through the live chat. A typical service includes music, prayer, scripture, a message and communion. You are welcome to participate as much or as little as you choose. You may sing, pray, stand, sit, receive communion or simply listen. There is no pressure to take part in every part of the service.

First-Time Visitors

When you visit PPMCC for Sunday worship, a greeter will welcome you and may invite you to share basic contact information. Providing information is optional and helps us stay connected with visitors who would like to learn more about the church.

Communion Is Open to Everyone

At the beginning of worship, PPMCC includes a Passing of the Peace, offering an opportunity to greet those around you. Participation is always optional, and no one is expected or pressured to greet others.

Communion at PPMCC is an open table. You do not need to be a member of PPMCC, Metropolitan Community Churches, or any other church to participate. You do not need to meet a religious test or explain your beliefs.

Everyone is welcome to receive communion, and everyone is equally welcome to remain seated or choose not to participate. The invitation is offered without pressure or judgment.

Gluten-free wafers are provided for all participants. Communion may be received from the shared cup, and individual cups are also available.

Those worshiping online may follow along with the service and participate from home. When communion is offered, online participants may prepare bread, a cracker, or another simple food, along with juice, water, or another drink.

Come as You Are

You are welcome to worship in whatever way is most comfortable for you. Sit or stand as you are able, step out when needed and return when you are ready. Visitors are not required to introduce themselves publicly or make any commitment. For questions about mobility, seating, sensory needs or another accommodation, contact the church before your visit so we can help make your experience as comfortable as possible.

Safety During Sunday Worship

PPMCC takes the safety of worshipers, volunteers, and visitors seriously. Security support is present during Sunday worship services, and trained church leaders are available to assist if a concern arises.
